More great fights are added to Bellator MMA’s first pay-per-view event. The honor to open the main card goes to Michael Page (5-0 MMA) and Ricky Rainey (7-2 MMA). While on the preliminary card Blagoi Ivanov (11-0 MMA) and Alexander Volkov (21-4 MMA) both fought their way to the Season 10 heavyweight tournament final. In the lightweight tournament final, Marcin Held (18-3 MMA) meets Patricky Freire (13-5 MMA). Mike Richman (16-4 MMA) fights Goiti Yamauchi (16-2 MMA) in the featherweight bout and in addition to a heavyweight fight between Cheick Kongo (20-9-2 MMA) and Eric Smith (6-1 MMA), these are the latest additions.
Bellator 120, headlined by Bellator Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez and challenger Michael Chandler, takes place May 17 at Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi.

All 26 fighters made weight for Saturday’s event. Travis Browne (245.5) came in 13 pounds heavier than Fabricio Werdum (232.5), Liz Carmouche (135) half a pound lighter than Miesha Tate (135.5). Edson Barboza was 156 pounds, while Donald Cerrone hit 155.5.

The former Strikeforce Middelweight Champion, SHOOTO Welterweight Champion, the only Elite XC Welterweight Champion and the one-time UFC Welterweight title challenger, Jake Shields (29-7-1 MMA), after being released from the UFC has found his new home at WSOF.
Shields’ manager has confirmed Shields’ signing with World Series of Fighting. “Jake is happy to call WSOF home, and is looking forward to a long relationship,” Lex McMahon said.

WSOF officials, however, has not yet annonced the news.

Dustin Poirier and Akira Corrasani earned “Fight of the Night” for their main card fight where both fighters gave us an exciting round one, but early in the second round the American ended the Swede by landing an uppercut followed by strikes.
Ryan Jimmo after had some trouble finding the right range against Sean O’Connell, knocked out his opponent by straight right hand at the end of the opening round, earning Jimmo the “Performance of the Night” award.
K.J. Noons grabbed the “Performance of the Night” trophy after 30-second knockout when he ducked and threw a right hook that caught Sam Stout on the jaw.
Each fighter earned 50.000 for each trophy.
