Being a referee is tough, and even tougher when it comes to making big mistakes - such as the one big mistake that happened during UFC Fight Night 62 in Brazil when for some reason referee Eduardo Herdy made a bad call in the fight between Leonardo Silva and Drew Dober. The guys were showing a good fight and both was determined to win that night. The American found himself in an arm-in guillotine choke, but it wasn't all that dangerous and Dober could have survived it. The referee, however, called the stoppage clearly making a bad job and also making a tons of haters. UFC President was early out commenting the mistake through Twitter: "Now there is a guy who should  Never ref again!!!!"
This past weekend in Wuppertal, Germany K-1 star and two time MMA fighter Tyone Spong wins for the second time inside the boxing ring. The Dutch striker met local Emre Altintas who had the record of 10 wins including 6 knockouts, but Spong was too strong for the German and the K-1 star finished him in the first round exactly what he did at his debut on Mars 3.
At the main event of UFC Fight Night 62 in Rio, Brazil Demian Maia was an underdog against Ryan LaFlare, but you should never trust the odds. LaFlare couldn't land any significant punches, neither could he do anything about Maia's takedowns almost the entire time inside the Octagon. The Brazilian while on top tried for some submissions, but couldn't make it. Instead he transitioned well to top position where he worked with ground and pound. Only in the last round the Canadian looked better as Maia was gassed out and was too passive and "Big" John had to take a point from the Brazilian.  Although even  with a bad last round it was enough for the judges to give the victory to Maia.

In the co-headliner Erick Silva and Josh Koscheck traded some hard punches, but the Brazilian looked better and landed more. After some exchange Koscheck was rocked and naturally wanted takedown, but Silva made him pay for it when he choked out (guillotine choke) the American in the last minute of the opening round.
